I've Figured It Out!

I've finally decided who I'm going to vote for as President of the United States!

I'm going to vote for the person who will put regulations into effect immediately that say presidential candidates can only start campaigning 6 months before the election and who will put restritctions on political TV ads! Seriously people...how many of you are sick to death of the mess that is spewing out of our TVs? (I don't even watch tv, and I've seen ENOUGH!) And they are lies, or at least stretched-truths. You can NOT believe everything that is being sad by each of these candidates. Check it out on http://www.factcheck.org/. They are very good at debunking the ads, sorting out the junk and getting to the truth.

So, that's it...Promise me you'll make that your first priority when you get elected, and you've automatically got my vote! So simple.

I don't watch TV either, and I am sick of them also. What ever happened to talking about what they can do to improve things, instead of slam their opponent every which way. Don't you think that it would be more useful to talk about how you want a better America, and you can make that happen? I don't get it!

i'm not sure i like that idea of restricting when campaign's can run ads because that might mean that a smear campaign could be run without sufficient time for a campaign to respond. Also, the presidential campaigns don't really start until after the conventions start; which was only a month ago. The primaries are long because the states primaries are so spread out. In my opinion, all private money should be taken out of the elections. It should all be paid for on federal and state run TV stations, newspapers, radio stations, and websites. Then only informed people would bother to vote, which would be a good thing.

Good point, Corey...another reason why I continue to search for reasoning in this election...I just don't know everything! Thanks for pointing that out.
